According to the charge sheet read in court, the accused, Beram Laye, on 2 June 2014, in Serrekunda, in the Kanifing Municipality, stole one bed and wardrobe valued at D28,000, the property of one Dam Mbye.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D30,000 with a Gambian surety who must deposit an ID card.
Hearing was adjourned till 20 August 2014.
In a separate development, one Cherno Ebrima Jallow was also arraigned before Magistrate Fatou Darboe of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with common assault.
The particulars of offence read that on 2 August 2014, at Westfield, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Cherno Ebrima Jallow, assaulted one Fatou Sallah by insulting her.
He was granted court bail of D2,000 with a surety who must deposit an ID card.
The case was adjourned till 13 August 2014.
