Striker
Mamadi Ngum’s 56th-minute strike inspired Samger to a slender win over Bombada in
the 2015-2016 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league.
The academy boys beat the Brikama-based outfit 1-0 in the week-twenty fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Monday.
Samger and Bombada are not safe in the country’s top flight football season after their poor run of form in the campaign prior to their Monday clash, but the academy boys managed to bag the vital three points after striker Mamadi Ngum netted the only goal in the game in the 56th minute of the game.
Bombada responded back quickly for an equalizer but to no avail thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Samger.
Samger
are now level on points with Gambia Armed Forces each having 22 points in
twenty league matches, while Bombada have 20 points in twenty league matches
with two more games to go.
