Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has learnt with great sadness the passing on
former Principal of Gambia High School Reverend Willy Carr who passed away
recently after a mild illness.
Rev Carr served in Gambia Football Association/Gambia Football Federation (GFA/GFF) Sub Committees until of recent where he manifested a strong positive force in the promotion and development of football.
We are awed by his sincerity, humility and simplicity in a professional and personal way, and we are inspired by his excellent work ethics.
Over the years and of recent, we have admired and respected the veteran teacher and former sports administrator for not only being an exemplary leader but also his personal commitment and sacrifice to the development of football in the Gambia and his impacts on the livelihood of young people while serving as Principal of Gambia High School and an ardent sports manager.
This sad incident which came recently has in no doubts increased the sorrow and sadness not only within his family circles but the Gambia football family as a whole.
Whilst praying that the Almighty Allah grant his gentle soul eternal peace, we further express our deepest condolences and sympathy his family, friends and close associates.
