The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) CEO Ousainou Senghore has called for stronger collaboration between government institutions and businesses to ensure that investment incentives granted under the Special Investment Certificate (SIC) and Export Processing Zone (EPZ) regimes translate into tangible economic benefits. The call was made during a one-day stakeholders’ workshop for SIC and Export Processing Zone Licence (EPZL) holders held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center under the theme, “Optimizing the Utilization of Investment Incentives in The Gambia.”

The Vice President of the Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Mohammed B.S. Jallow, who also chairs the National Task Force established to address the country's current energy situation in the Gambia, today led a delegation of senior government officials on a site visit to two critical NAWEC installations, the Bijilo sub-station and the Jabang 225kVA transmission sub-station.
