The party confirmed that two people reportedly lost their lives in the incident, while several others sustained injuries.
The injured victims were taken to Bansang Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.
Describing the incident as a deeply painful tragedy, the UDP expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and solidarity with those injured.
"This is a deeply tragic and painful moment for the families of the deceased, the injured, the Party Leader and his entourage, and the entire UDP family," the statement read.
The opposition party said its thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the accident and urged prayers for the victims.
The UDP also prayed for Allah's mercy upon the deceased, asking that they be granted Jannatul Firdaus, while wishing those injured a swift and full recovery.
The party further called for protection for all supporters and members of the public travelling to and from the Allunhari rally.
