Man arraigned for criminal trespass, assault

A man was recently arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Lamin George, charged with criminal trespass and assault causing actual bodily harm.

Abdoulie Jallow pleaded not guilty to the charges, and was granted bail of D2,000 with a Gambian surety who must deposit a national ID card.

The charge sheet on count one stated that, on 11th December 2010 at Bakau Kachically in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused person, Abdoulie Jallow, with intent to intimidate, insult and annoy entered and remained in the house of one Babucarr Kebbeh.

Count two read that on the same day and place, Abdoulie Jallow assaulted the said Babucarr Kebbeh by scolding and throwing him on the ground, and as a result caused him actual bodily harm.

The case was adjourned to 28th December 2010.
