Gambia Ports Authority will rub shoulders with Brikama United in their re-scheduled week-seven fixtures of the Gamtel-Gamcel-sponsored GFA division one league today, Wednesday 27 March 2013, at the Banjul Mini Stadium.
Gambia Ports Authority are with 12 points in nine games and will be expecting a win to keep their hopes of clinching the league after three years of trophy drought.
Gambia Ports Authority won the GFA division one league title back in the 2009-2010 season, and since then they have failed to win silverware.
Brikama United, on 15 points in nine games, will also be hoping for a victory to keep pressure on current league leaders Steve Biko, who have bagged 19 points in nine games and are two points behind second-place Real De Banjul with 17 points in nine games.
Current league leaders Bakau giant killers Steve Biko were held to goalless draw by Seaview in an all-Bakau derby game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Sunday.
Hawks were also held to a goalless draw by Armed Forces at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day.
Steve Biko are still leading the league standing with 19 points in ten games.
Armed Forces are with 13 points in ten games; Seaview have collected 8 points in ten games, while Hawks have managed to bag 6 points in ten games and are rooted at the bottom of the league table.
