A wrestling event in honour of Gambian women will be staged by Njie Goree Promotion in April at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.
The event will be launched on 13 April 2013 in gratitude of the efforts of Gambian women in nation-building.
“This is a token of appreciation to our Gambian mothers and sisters for their socio-economic and socio-political contributions and achievements in the development and advancement of our nation,” Njie Goree Promotion stated.
Ahead of the event, a ‘Face to Face’ of Gambian wrestlers was staged yesterday at the Paradise Suites Hotel at 16:00 hours.
The face-to-face was organised by the staff and management of Njie Gorre Promotion in preparation of their upcoming wrestling event to be launched on 13 April 2013, at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
The promotional outfit is a new promotional organization with intentions and projections to revive the Gambian rich cultural heritage, art and traditions via every aspect of entertainment.
