At the launch, Sering Bojang, adviser of the association, gave a synopsis of the mission of the organisation, which he said, is to preserve cultural heritage while promoting collaboration and mutual understanding.
Abdou Jobe, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, whole welcoming the initiative, outlined the importance of cultural events in fostering peace and unity across the nation.
Minister Jobe maintained that culture is not only a reflection of identity, but also a powerful tool for reconciliation and togetherness.
In light of this, he reaffirmed his Ministry’s unwavering support to the association behind the initiative, reminding that culture strengthen the social fabric of a country.
Also speaking at the event, Amadou Kora, King of Manding Bulunda, called for collective harmony, urging Gambians to embrace togetherness as a cornerstone of national progress.
His reminded that cultural heritage is a unifying force capable of bridging divides and nurturing peace.
