Olympafrica beat Interior in Volleyball League

Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East male volleyball team on 3 November 2010 defeated Interior male volleyball team by three sets to nil in the second round of the ongoing Gambia Volleyball Association National League.

In the encounter held at the Gambia Senior Secondary School Volleyball Lawn in Banjul, Olympafrica Centre/Serrekunda East won all the three sets by 25 points to 19 points, 29 points to 27 points and 25 points to 22 points to bag all three points at the expense of the home team.

Meanwhile, Interior female volleyball team will travel to Brikama today, Friday 5 November 2010, to take on Brikama female volleyball team at the Gambia College Volleyball Lawn in Brikama in the West Coast Region.

On 6 November 2010, the Gambia Armed Forces male volleyball team will host Brikama male volleyball team at the Fajara Barracks Volleyball Lawn in Bakau.

In a separate development, the knockout championship is expected to start on Tuesday, 9 November 2010 at the Gambia College Volleyball Lawn in Brikama, between the current league leaders Gamtel/Gamcel male volleyball team, who are still enjoying an unbeaten run since the commencement of the league, and the rock bottom Brikama male volleyball team, who are yet to register a win since the start of the league.
