Lions of Banjul share spoil with Jambanjelly Utd in triangular qualifiers

Lions of Banjul on Saturday shared plunder with Jambanjelly United in the 2014 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) third division triangular qualifiers after a 1-all draw in a tightly contested game played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Jambanjelly United, who are leading the third division triangular qualifiers with 4 points in four two games, need a win against Lions of Banjul to keep their hopes of regaining promotion to the second tier.

They outclassed and outplayed Lions of Banjul in the game but could not snatch away the maximum points, hence shared the loot.

Elsewhere, Latrikunda United were held to a 3-all draw by Blue Stars in the other third division triangular qualifiers game played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day.

Jambanjelly United are still leading third division triangular qualifiers table with 5 points in three games, and need a win against Lamin United in their final game to sail to the second tier, Latrikunda United are 2nd position with 5 points in four games.

Lamin United and Blue Stars are 3rd and 4th positions respectively with 4 points each in three games, while Lions of Banjul are rooted at the bottom of the third division triangular qualifiers with 2 points in three games.
