Kombo South District Sports Committee (KSDSC) familiarization tour to all villages in Kombo South ended at the weekend.
Speaking at a meeting in Sifoe, Bakary Bojang, a native of Sifoe, said he was very delighted to receive KSDSC members, adding that the familiarization tour was meant to meet Alkalous, Village Development Committees and sports committees to discuss the way forward for sport in the district.
Bojang urged the youth to maintain discipline and tolerance to realize their dreams and aspirations.
The chairperson of Sifoe Sports Committee, Fatty Jatta, hailed the KSDSC for embarking on the tour to all the villages in the district, saying they are ready to collaborate with KSD Sports Committee to promote sport in the district and will always abide by the rules and regulation of the tournament.
“Our relationship with the Alkalo and Village Development Committee is absolutely excellent,” Fatty pointed out.
The chairperson of the KSDSC, Lamin K. Janneh, said his committee was elected into office last month and the familiarization tour was part of their initiatives to reaching stakeholders of sport in the district.
Janneh calls for a trouble-free KSDSC and seized the opportunity to advise the villages to maintain discipline and tolerance to avoid fines and suspensions.
Janneh challenges the village elders to allocate a piece of land to the youth.
Mafuju Keita, a member of Nyofelleh Village Development Committee, thanked the KSDSC for embarking on the tour, saying it would help them to sensitize villages ahead of the late Kajali Badjie and the late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo South district football tournament.
