Jarumeh Youth Association Elects New Executive

Jarumeh Youth Association in the Central River Region recently elected a new executive to steer the affairs of the association. The new caretaker executive is an interim committee tasked with the responsibility of running the association for a period of six moths ahead of general congress slated for the 16th of May 2009.

The ceremony, held at Bakoteh Estate, witnessed the election of a nine member executive including Mr. Ebrima MK. Ceesay as chairperson, Mawdo Sawaneh vice chairperson, Haruna Jallow secretary general, Lamin Lisa Ceesay treasurer, Momodou Edrisa Njie PRO and Ansumana Ceesay auditor.

Speaking at the occasion, chairperson elect Ceesay vowed to work hard for the attainment of the aims and objectives of the association. He promised to serve the association and the village in general to the best of his ability.

PRO Momodou Edrisa Njie, urged the members to work closely with the new executive in order for them to successfully implement their planned programmes.

Mr. Ebrima Ceesay, an adviser to the association, encouraged members to attend meetings regularly.
