Ecomog FC clutch Gunjur League title

Ecomog FC on Sunday clutched the 2021-2022 Gunjur ‘Nawetan’ League title following their 2-1 win over Asselem FC in a well-attended final played at the Gunjur Upper and Senior Secondary School Football Field.

Both sides played defensive and offensive football, crafting some goal scoring opportunities.

Ecomog FC scored two goals in the match to clinch the Coastal Town rainy biggest football jamboree title.

Asselem FC netted one goal in the match which eventually proved to be a consolation for them.

As champions, Ecomog FC went home with a giant trophy and a cash prized of D25,000 while Asselem FC received D20,000 as the runners-up.

Meanwhile, Ecomog FC will now rub shoulders with Kulukochi United FC in the 2022 Gunjur Super Cup final after winning the Coastal Town League and Knockout trophies respectively.
