President of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF),Kemo Ceesay, recently met FIFA President Gianni Infantino on the sidelines of the 2026 CAF strategic workshop in Cape Verde.The strategic bilateral discussions focused on boosting football development in The Gambia.
During the meeting, President Ceesay and President Infantino explored key ways to strengthen collaboration, increase infrastructure investments, and enhance technical support for the growth of youth and grassroots football throughout The Gambia.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the partnership, FIFA President Gianni Infantino reaffirmed his steadfast support for President Ceesay’s leadership and vision for the national game.
Infantino praised the GFF’s efforts and reiterated FIFA’s full commitment to providing the necessary resources and technical assistance to help Gambian football reach its full potential on both regional and international levels.
Under President Ceesay’s leadership, the GFF is dedicated to fostering strong international partnerships that directly benefit players, coaches, stakeholders, and fans—the foundations of Gambian football.
