Key issues included transportation, security, and proposed seminars on human rights, good governance and the rule of law requiring police participation.
IGP Touray commended the union for the engagement and reaffirmed the Gambia Police Force’s commitment to student safety, youth engagement, responsible citizenship and national development.
He urged students to uphold discipline and exemplary conduct during the university’s flagship event, and expressed readiness to deepen partnership on academic research and knowledge sharing.
The student leaders thanked the IGP and GPF leadership for the warm reception and continued support.
