Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the NSA, Chief Executive Officer of BWinners, Hussien Nashar, deputizing for the proprietor, expressed his gratitude to the people of Foni Bondali District for answering to their call.
“We have done lot of things in the country. We focused mainly in Basse,” he recalled, saying: “We have now extended our support to other parts of the country."
Nashar stated that the company gave out 150 bags of onions, 300 bags of sugar and 150 gallons of cooking oil to Foni Bondali District.
He further stated that the donation would help the people of the country during the month of Ramadan.
Samba Jawo, a native of Bondali District, expressed delight in donating food items to his community, adding that the donation has been the latest from BWinners Company.
Jawo revealed that BWinners has been helping Gambians, adding that this time around they decided to support Foni Bondali District.
"We all know the difficulties people face during the month of Ramadan,” he reasoned, saying: “The donation would ease the burden on both individuals and family level," he said.
Chief of Foni Bondali District, Omar Colley, thanked BWinners for choosing his district.
Colley affirmed that “BWinners is here to stay”, saying they are also in the country to uplift Gambians.
He further said the donated items would go a long way in helping the needy in Foni Bondali.
Colley also prayed for the company to make more progress.
"There are many companies in The Gambia but BWinners choose to give back to the community," Colley said.
Kabuteh Sanyang, a beneficiary of BWinners helping hand, thanked the organisation for the unflinching and divine-driven support they always render to the people of this country.
Sanyang described the gesture as timely, saying the donated items would go a long way in reducing their spending during the month of Ramadan.
“I thank BWinners for this great initiative,” he said smilingly.
Ambassador of BWinners brand, Hussain Dada, also thanked BWinners for their “great initiative”.
Dada stated that the company is aware of the hikes in prices of basic commodities in the market, adding that “there is a need to support people” as Ramadan commences.
