This initiative, backed by around 50 members of the Nigerian Contingent of ECOMIG (the ECOWAS Mission in The Gambia), effectively addressed the estate’s waste management challenges.
The clean-up initiative effectively tackled the problems of illegal dumping by donkey carts and wretched waste disposal throughout the estate and along the highway from Ghana Town to Tanji.
Miatta French and Paulette Blake conveyed their heartfelt appreciation, expressing, "The residents were truly grateful for the support from ECOMIG. This initiative underscores the vital role of community and institutional collaboration in fostering sustainability in The Gambia."
The organizers emphasized the importance of sustainable waste practices and called on all Gambians to participate in the effort to ensure cleaner living environments.
