All those found liable by the Commission of Enquiry on Tax Evasion have been urged to comply by paying up their tax arrears, “failing which the circumstances will be drastic”, a news release from the State House has said.
The release, aired by State TV last night, stated: “The Government of The Gambia is thereby informing members of the general public that it still upholds the findings of the Commission of Enquiry on Tax Evasion, and will commence full execution of its recommendations by 31 December 2015.”
The State House release added: “All those found liable by the Tax Commission are therefore urged to comply; failing which the circumstances will be drastic.”
