Deportivo is a good team. But I feel that our performances, despite losing, against Marseille has given us the confidence that we can play and do well at this level, Brann's head coach Mons Ivar Mjelde commented.
Deportivo and Brann have never met before. Deportivo has played Rosenborg twice, winning both times on aggregate in the UEFA Cup and the Champions League qualifying. Deportivo also beat the Norwegian league leaders Stabæk in the UEFA Cup nine years ago.
