The Senior national team will be heading to camp later today at the Seaview Hotel and will also be holding their training session this afternoon at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, as part of preparation of their home match against Liberia in the 2010 World and African Cup of nations qualifiers.

Senior National team Coach Paul Put speaking to Pointsports last evening, stated that Gambia's  captain  Ebou Sillah, Aziz Corr Nyang, Ken Abdoulie Mansally, Mustapha Jarju, Ebrima  Sawaneh, Matthew Mendy and Musa Bajaha were expected in Banjul last evening. And according him, these players will commence training today at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Gambia Starlet OJ Koroma and Cherno Samba were also invited by the Scorpions head and are expected in Banjul on Tuesday.

According to Coach Put, " I have invited them to come over and train with the team. I will watch them train and base on their performance they could be featured in the national side".

He also informed Pointsports that most the foreign base players playing in Scandinavia will be arriving in Banjul on Tuesday as they will be leaving their clubs immediately after their matches played yesterday. Coach Put added that, " they will be joining us in camp and we will have a few things to do before we meet Liberia on Saturday".

He said Gambia's Edirisa Sonko playing for Tranmere Rovers in England is yet to be granted permission from his club to play for the Gambia.

" This is because his club is claiming that they received his invitation very late. But  The Gambia Football Association will be sending an e-mail to the Club for the release of the player," he pointed out.
