Pencha Bi FC recently defeated J. Under15 FC by 2-0 to guarantee their place in the quarterfinal stage of the ongoing Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWESO) Nawetan competition played at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.
Ebrima Mendy and Alieu Ceesay both missed great opportunities for Pencha Bi FC in the early minutes of the game resulting in a goalless draw in the first period.
Salif Krubally gave Pencha Bi the lead in the 50th minute of the game while Alagie Modou Dibba sealed the victory for Pencha Bi midway into the second half.
Pencha Bi have now joined Dippakunda United, Blackpool, Ajax FC, Old Jeshwang United, Kongi Bi FC, who have already booked their places to the quarterfinals of the competition.
At the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium on the same day, Rangers FC beat Canon FC by 1-nil in a keenly contested encounter to advance to the quarterfinals of the Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) Nawetan competition, with Ebrima Sawaneh scoring the only goal of the game for Rangers FC.
