Peaceful FC on Saturday beat Real Madrid FC 1-0 in a tightly-contested final game played at the Kachumeh football field to clinch the 2013-2014 Kachumeh League title.
The nail-biting clash saw a brilliant display of skill and talent, and attracted spectators from Kachumeh village and environs for the weekend’s biggest clash of power-houses in Kachumeh Nawetan.
Peaceful FC opened the scores through striker Charles Manneh in the first half from a stunning strike to give his side the lead, which eventually proved to be the winner for Peaceful FC.
Real Madrid FC responded quickly for an equalizer and created some goal-scoring opportunities, but failed to utilize on their limited goal-scoring opportunities thus, the game ended 1-0 in favour of Peaceful FC.
As the champions, Peaceful FC went home with a giant trophy and an undisclosed cash prize, whilst Real Madrid FC received an undisclosed cash prize as the runners-up.
William Gomez with five goals was awarded as the leading goal scorer of the Nawetan title.
