Magistrate Effim of the Brikama Magistrates' Court recently convicted and sentenced one Musa Banora to a fine of D6, 000, in default to serve one year six months in prison for impersonation.

According to the particulars of offence, on 28th March 2010, at Banjul International Airport, Western Region, the convict impersonated himself as Antonio Musa Banora by presenting a Guinea Bissau passport No. CA 0050072 and a Spanish resident permit No: P 00468201, when his real name is Musa Bonara.

The convict who pleaded guilty to the charge begged the court to temper justice with mercy, as he is a young man.
