The Alkalo
of Gunjur, Alhagie Sulayman Touray, passed away on Monday 3 November 2014,
after a serious illness.
According to residents of Gunjur, since Touray took over as village head in 2008 the village had witnessed lot of development in the areas of infrastructure, education and health.
Alkalo Touray was laid to rest on Tuesday 4 November 2014 in Gunjur, attended by hundreds of people from Gunjur and its satellite areas.
Touray is survived by two wives, several children and grandchildren.
