One Tijan Nurudeen, a Nigerian national, was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Fatou Darboe of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with common assault and wilful damage to property.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D13,000 with a Gambian surety who must deposit an ID card.
The charge sheet read in court stated that on 21 October 2014, at Kanifing South in the Kanifing Municipality, he assaulted one Fataoumatta Drammeh.
Court two read that he damaged the tablet device marked Lenovo valued at D900 by throwing it on the ground.
The case was adjourned to 11 November 2014, for hearing.
