According to information contained in the released GFA first division fixtures sent to Pointsport yesterday, the championship proper will begin with a crucial game when Real De Banjul meet the Academy boys Samger at the rejuvenated Banjul Mini-stadium on Sunday March 6 to be followed by other crunch encounters between Interior and Gamtel at Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium and between and Brikama United and Bakau giant killers Steve Biko at the Serrekunda West Mini-stadium.
Matches continue on Sunday March 6 when Wallidan will take on Bakau United at the popular Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium.
The Gambia Ports Authority will begin the defence of their last year crown with a league match against Africell at the West Mini-stadium on Wednesday, while the military boys Armed Forces will rub shoulders with Young Africans at the East Park the same day to wrap up the week one fixtures.
