Real De Banjul, who made a slow start to the 2011-2012 GFA division one league season,have been unstoppable in the second round winning their games in spectacular fashion to becoming arealtitle contender.
Real De Banjul, after their hard-fought victory over Bakau giant killers in a mouthwatering clash, have now joined Armed Forces on top, and the defeat by Real De Banjul has dashed Steve Biko’s hopes of clinching the league title.
Elsewhere, in the 2008-2009 league, Armed Forces were held to a 1-1 draw by telecommunications giants Gamtel in the other Week 17 fixtures played at the Serrekunda Mini Stadium on the same day.
Armed Forces and Real De Banjul, according to the league table,are each with26 points in seventeen games, while Steve Biko have collected 21 points in seventeen games, and Gamtel 19 points in sixteen games with a game in hand against Serrekunda United.
