Gambia VIF Valerenga duo Dawda Leigh and Kristian Brix are part of the squad who have shaken off their disappointment after their 3-1 defeat to Rosenborg last weekend in the Norwegian top-flight league.

The team, according to captain Haestad on TV VIF, has been forced to consider the fact that they still have a medal to play for.

"We will try to win the last battle and ready to take the silver medal at least. We must focus now. We have a lot to offer in recent games," he said.

The team's defeat to Rosenborg was due to a lot of injuries before the match but the side believe that they can fight against Stromsgodset next Saturday and in the remaining three matches.

Valerenga at 52 points are trailing leaders Rosenborg with an 8 points difference but the determined side, who finished on 7th position and 40 points last season, have clearly left their marks and running for the gold.

Leigh and Brix are so far on course to winning a laurel among the Gambian crew plying their trade in Norway.

Mohammed Keita's Strømsgodset, Tijan Jaiteh's Brann, Abdou Darbo's Honefoss, and Sandefjord are all struggling on the last right teams on the table.
