Brikama United on Sunday beat Serrekunda United 1-0 in the week-one fixtures played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium to join Wallidan on top of the 2015-2016 First-Eco Partners- sponsored Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league table.
The victory has given Brikama United maximum three points in one game after their slender win over Serrekunda United.
Brikama United have now joined Wallidan in top spot on the country’s domestic division one league table, after beating Real de Banjul 2-1 in the all-Banjul derby clash at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Saturday, courtesy of Modou Lamin Manneh’s brace in the game.
Reigning league and Super Cup champions Gamtel drew 1-1 with Real De Banjul at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Real De Banjul opened the scores through Edi Ndow in the 48th minute of the game to give the city boys the lead.
Gamtel reacted quickly for an equalizer and levelled the scores through Adama Sabally in the dying minute of the game to share the spoils.
Gamtel finished the game with ten men after Alfusainey Jatta was sent off after his rough challenge on Bully Drammeh.
Elsewhere, Gambia Ports Authority drew goalless with Hawks in the other week-one fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on the same day.
