Brikama Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC) recently awarded certificates to the players and coaching staff of the 2010-2011 Gambia Football Association division one league champions Brikama United in respect of the club’s clinching of last year’s league title, at a colourful ceremony held at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium.

The team and its coaching staff  were decorated with certificates by the BYSC after securing the country’s top-tier league title last season and are bracing up for the continent’s top club showdown first leg against Senegal’s league champions Ouakam  on 18 February this year, at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-stadium.

The ceremony also witnessed the launching of Brikama United’s logo designed by the team’s vice-captain Modou Jallow, alias Figo.

Pledges were also made by the Gambia Football Association and other well-wishers of the team for their road to the CAF African champions league.

The president of the club, Basiru Bajo, called on the natives of Brikama and its environs to earnestly support the Brikama outfit in their participation in the 2012 CAF African Champions league so the club can be highly motivated to deliver to expectations during the championship.
