Tomorrow, actions are expected to recommence in the Bakau Nawetan.
The day’s game to be played between much fancied Kachikally and another strong title contender, Zuwa, is expected to produce a fantastic show of football as the Bakau League enters round two at the Real de Banjul football field at the Independence Stadium.
The two sides will enter the mid-week clash on the back of impressive performances en route to the group stage qualification.
Kachikallly were the group A leaders while Zuwa FC could only settle for a runners-up place in Group C, which is led by Milan FC.
Kachikally FC, dominated by experienced players that also include Steve Biko’s magnificent midfielder Fabakary Bojang, are some pundits favourites but it has to be said that Zuwa FC have had impressive record in this competition having managed to progress to the finals in their first debut last term.
The team under the guidance of Yankuba Jammeh assisted by Sutay Marong, aka Coach, did enough to secure their first-ever major trophy (Super Cup title), with the club hugely admired for its wonderful style of play.
That achievement came hot on the heels of their penalty shootout success over Ron Mango, who were widely considered the favourite for the top accolade.
Pointsport will bring you the results of other matches in Bakau Nawetan as actions resume on Thursday evening.
