Alleged secondhand clothes thief arraigned

One Alhagie Alasana Ceesay was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Colley of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with stealing.

He denied any wrongdoing.

At that juncture, he was granted court bail of D50,000 with a Gambian surety who must deposit an ID card.

Hearing was adjourned to 1 July 2015.

The charge sheet read in court stated that on 26 May 2015, at Serrekunda Market in the Kanifing Municipality, he stole second-hand clothes valued at D17,000, the property of one Sheriffo Kanagi.
