In an interview with The Point, Pa Joof, a victim said the windstorm completely destroyed their house and left them with nothing.
Mariama Ceesay, Mr Joof’s wife said she had a corner shop in the house to support her family but lost the materials during the disaster.
The family therefore appealed for financial assistance to reconstruct their house. According to Joof, he is the only surviving member of his family and is currently battling with his health.
Severe windstorm can lead to the destruction of so many things, including transportation, infrastructure, energy, among others.
Borry Ceesay, councilor for Foni Bintang Constituency said the house was in a poor state and could not be rehabilitated by Mr Joof because he is unhealthy, old and the only surviving member of his family.
He therefore appealed to government, non governmental organisations, philanthropists and individuals to come to the aid of the family.
