Abdou Faye, director of the school highlighted Supdeco Business School's 33 years of service across Africa, noting that the school's experience and expertise, positioning it as a leading institution for business education in the region.
Mr. Faye encouraged women to take charge of their own empowerment, something she said, would have an impact on their well-being and the Gambia's progress.
In her keynote address, Rohey Malick Lowe, Mayor of Banjul, underlined the importance of day, sharing some of the struggles women face and the need for accelerated action towards gender equality.
She disclosed that her personal journey to becoming mayor is a testament to resilience and determination and that these achievements include empowering entrepreneurs through the Rohey Malick Lowe Women Empowerment Initiative, awarding scholarships to girls, and prioritising water provision for women in 54 communities.
She shared a word of inspiration with young women, challenging them to always aim higher, and dream bigger".
Another Guest Speaker, Olimatou Faal, shared her inspiring journey, emphasising the importance of self-empowerment, honesty, and pursuing one's passion.
As a biologist turned banker, she encouraged students to be truthful about their interests and strengths, even if it means taking a different path.
