Plantation Nurseries engages in propagation and management of climate resilient and drought resistant seedlings of plant trees, fruit trees, vegetable trees, bamboo trees and mangroves for smallholder farmers and communities in The Gambia.
Samba Faye, executive director for Plantation Nurseries, said Ambassador Essa Bokarr Sey will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in sustainable initiatives, making him the perfect fit for their mission to foster a greener future.
He added that the newly appointed consultant’s expertise would guide them in creating impactful programs that would promote environmental education and hands-on tree planting activities.
Plantation Nurseries aimed at mitigating climate change through agro-forestry in The Gambia and also join forces with communities and schools to drive tree planting projects for the sake of environmental conservation.
Mr Faye explained that they would empower communities and schools to become stewards of their precious planet, planting trees that would not only beautify their surroundings but also combat climate change and nurture biodiversity.
