Aug 14, 2025, 12:40 PM

In its continuous hunt for young talents, GMB Promotion has added to its growing list of artistes, MANUE, a young Gambian talent ready to break barriers.

Born Emmanuel Lawrence, he is another emerging artiste taking the country’s music scene by storm.

GMB Promotions in recent weeks has been busy trying to identify young talents for possible support to enable them hone their skills while harnessing their potential to the outside world.

Under this deal, the promotion will be responsible for all his promo, branding, marketing and even studio works.

At the event, Chris Black, Chief Executive Officer of GMB Promotion, said the day was another day to celebrate and give thanks.

“I welcome everyone again under the umbrella of GMB Promotion. As it says, we are here to scout and also empower people. We also create a platform to make sure that every talented artist or individual is heard. So, this evening”

He described the newly signed artiste as a talent who is ready to exploit his skills to the outside world.

“I'm just going to stay off and do my thing in my own way. But like patience is always something that can bring you closer to what you're looking for or to make you reach your endeavours. So, when I came recently scouting for talent, I'm working with a producer that even already started playing the songs of Manue.’

Chris said he never met Manue, but as the saying goes, good music is difficult to resist, adding he did have some of his songs in the studio.

“When I took some of my artistes for recording with them I was like, he's having something cool. Just after a couple of days, I got reach again from Manue again.”

For his part, Manue, the newly signed artiste first expressed delight to be associated with GMB Promotion, revealing that he was raised in a Christian family.

“You know, growing up, I had always been exposed to music since my father was a producer and my mother was a vocal coach. So they had exposed me to my talents since the age of two, therefore making me a songwriter at such an early age.”

According to him, ‘music hasn't ever been a foreign thing to me, adding that it's always been who I've been.’

“But then there comes the issue of socio-economic issues, the factor of where I was born, which is the Gambia, you know, not a lot of opportunities and people that are ready to, you know, take the chance for a young talent like me.”

Other speakers included Pascal Mendy, who all welcomed the artists to the GMB Promotion family, assuring that they will do all within their power to promote his career to the next level.
