Jammeh began his football career with 'nawettan'
football in Serrekunda East, Lamin and Basse.
A seasoned military officer and former player, Jammeh has competed at all levels, from school football to divisional football.
Jammeh has played for Makumbaya, Nasir Ahmadiya High School and Nusrat High School.
He also played for Saraba FC, Wallidan FC, The Gambia Armed Forces FC and The Gambia national team.
Jammeh made his debut for The Gambia national team in 1994.
He has won The Gambia First Division League titles with Wallidan FC and GAF FC.
He also won FA Cup during his playing days.
As the founder and president of Falcons FC, Jammeh rised from the Serrekunda East nawettan to First Division League.
A former GAF FC Board Member, Jammeh played a key role in securing three League titles and FA Cup.
Jammeh is a certified CAF/FIFA Safety and Security Officer, with an MSC in Defence and International Politics and Magna Cum Laude Bachelor’s in Accountancy from the University of The Gambia.
He was appointed as Confederation of African Football (CAF) Safety and Security Officer for major tournaments, including the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Cameroon and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
As the Footballer President, Jammeh champions integrity, player-focused development and discipline to enhance Gambian football.
