The training, which was held at NaNA Conference Hall, represents a pivotal effort to empower women through the development of entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. By offering this comprehensive training, the Ministry, alongside its partners, aims to foster an environment where women can thrive as business leaders and innovators.
Besides, the training also covered a range of critical topics designed to enhance the participants' capabilities in business management, financial literacy, marketing strategies, and more. It is expected that participants at the event will have the unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and mentors who bring a wealth of expertise in various aspects of entrepreneurship.
At the event, Kajali Sonko, representing the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Welfare, said that this is the second phase of the Training of Trainers (ToT) program.
The initiative, he added, targets women from the West Coast, KMC and Banjul designed to equip them with the necessary skills needed to be able to serve as mentors to their peers in business management and profitability.
Sonko outlined that the essential role of capacity building in all areas and thus encouraged participants to fully utilise the training to impart these valuable skills to others.
“A significant feature of the training is the involvement of an international consultant who will share innovative ideas and techniques.”
