The sport was originally created for his younger brother Satheesh, who had been affected by polio and later lost his ability to walk.
The aim was to create a simple ball game that could be played in a limited space and help him remain active and confident.
After Satheesh passed away in 2017, the sport continued to develop with a wider vision of introducing Rocket Ball to people around the world.
In The Gambia, with the support of Ebrima Jatta, introductory activities and basic passing training have already started.
The International Rocket Ball Council (IRBC) is supporting the development by providing rules, technical guidance, training materials and equipment.
The aim is to train players, coaches and referees and gradually develop organised Rocket Ball activities in The Gambia and other African countries.
The Gambia is now part of the growing Rocket Ball journey in Africa.
