Approve Service (APS), one of the leading Money Transfer companies in The Gambia last Wednesday donated medical items worth five hundred and seventy five thousand dalasis (D575,000.00.) to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) and Kanifing General Hospital (KGH).

APS is the first microfinance institute to support EFSTH as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to give back to the most vulnerable in society.

The presentation was held at EFSTH Maternal Ward in Banjul and attended by senior staff of the hospital, senior management of APS led by Managing Director Momodou Joof.

Momodou Joof thanked the managements of the hospitals for accepting the modest donation from them.

Mr Joof added that they believe supporting hospitals is the way they can reach customers who have been patronising their business.

According to MD Joof, APS is the leading Money Transfer Company in The Gambia because of the sincere and loyal patronage of Gambians who have been with the company since its inception.

He pointed out they selected the two hospitals because they believe they receive the highest number of patients daily, adding that they aim to make the gesture biennial.

He noted that, APS is also committed to working with communities and their agents in mobilising additional resources to support all local health facilities across the country.

“We appreciate the excellent services that the managements of EFSTH and KGH hospitals continue to render to the public,” he also said.

Dr. Robert, Chief Medical Director at EFSTH expressed appreciation for the donated medical items. He commended the management of APS for the magnificent gesture.

He stated that the items will go a long way in complementing government efforts in realising effective healthcare service delivery.
