The donation, presented on Tuesday, forms part of the charity’s support to healthcare services in The Gambia and is expected to contribute to improving the availability of essential supplies required for surgical procedures and patient care.
Presenting the items on behalf of Let’s Give Too, the charity’s Director, Andrew Derik, expressed appreciation to the management of Kanifing General Hospital for accepting the donation. He commended the hospital’s leadership and staff for their continued efforts to serve communities and provide essential healthcare services.
Mr. Derik said the charity was pleased to support KGH and contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening the country’s health system.
Receiving the donated items on behalf of the hospital’s management, Baboucarr M.A. Saine, Hospital Administrator, thanked Let’s Give Too and its leadership for choosing Kanifing General Hospital as a beneficiary of its support.
He described the donation as a valuable contribution to the hospital and the wider national healthcare system, noting that medical facilities require adequate equipment and supplies to effectively respond to the needs of patients.
Mr. Saine assured the donors that the items would be put to effective use, particularly in supporting the hospital’s surgical services and improving the quality of care provided to patients.

Dr. Haruna Saidy, Head of Pharmacy at KGH, also expressed gratitude to the British charity for considering the hospital for the donation.
He described the contribution as valuable support to the hospital and said such interventions could help strengthen healthcare delivery, particularly by ensuring that health workers have access to essential materials needed in their daily work.
