Women arraigned for alleged assault

Mary Gomez and Rouse Gomez were on Monday arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with assault, causing actual bodily harm.

They both denied the charge and were each granted court bail of D10, 000.

The particulars of offence stated that Mary Gomez and Rouse Gomez on 12 December 2011, at Santosu, in the West Coast Region, jointly assaulted one Amisa Mendy, by beating her with a stick all over her body.

The case was then adjourned till 19 March 2012.
