The 2012 West Coast Region inter-academy football tournament is expected to get underway very soon as preparations for the annual football tournament is in high gear.
Babucarr Bojang, a member of the organising committee of the West Coast Region inter-academy football tournament committee, said the tournament is expected to be competed by all academies across the length and breadth of the West Coast Region.
Bojang added that the tournament is meant to promote and develop grassroots football in the region as well as scouting young talents.
Bojang said the tournament, which will feature different categories such as the U-13, U-15 and U-17, will go a long way in nurturing young talents in the region.
