Following his side’s 1-1 draw with Interior in their week-two fixtures in the 2012-2013 Gambia Football Association division one league game played at the Brikama Mini Stadium at the weekend, the head coach of Brikama United, Sulayman Kuyateh is optimistic that they will bounce back into their winning form and fight for the league title despite his side is making a slow start to the 2012-2013 Gamtel-Gamcel sponsored Gambia Football Association division one league.

Coach Kuyateh made these remarks in an interview with reporters shortly after the game.

Kuyateh stated that his team will bounce back as the league games unfold, save for the arrival of new players to his team yet to use to each other, which is why they were unable to win their games.

Kuyateh further stated that Brikama United can still win the league despite a slow start to the new league season and there is still room for improvement.

He stated that some of his key players such as Captain Saidou Jammeh, Basaikou Jawneh and goalkeeper Mamodou S. Bojang, are all nursing injuries, which also contributed to the poor performance of the team.

According to Kuyateh, they will prepare very well for their week-three match against Gamtel on Saturday 2 February 2013, at the Brikama Mini Stadium.

They want to beat Gamtel to keep their hopes of winning the league.
