WCRFAA calls on operating academies for registration

The West Coast Region Football Academies Association is calling on all operating football academies within the region to come forward and officially register with them, after a very successful U15 category tournament in which KGH Sports Football academy of Lamin emerged champions.

According to the president of the association, Mr Yahya Manneh, his executive’s early call for registration is geared towards dealing with football academies that are legally registered and affiliated with the association for future tournament the association will host.

No unregistered football academy will be allowed to take part, he said.

After the completion of registration formalities, all academies will be issued a unique registration number together with an operating licence which will be valid for only one year and subject to renewal at the end of every year. 

“On that note, the executive is calling on all operating football academies within the region to come forward and file in their registration applications before the deadline of Sunday 31st January, 2016,” he said.

“The association will host a general meeting with all interested football academies for registration formalities slated for Sunday 31st January 2016 at the West Coast Region Football House by 11a.m.”

He said the association has taken the opportunity to extend words of appreciation to all academies that took part in their first-ever organised tournament.

The association applauded Alhagie Lamin Kaba Bajo, president of The Gambia Football Federation, for his “massive support” towards the successful hosting of the U15 tourney.

Commendation also went to the executive and staff of the Federation House, The West Coast Region Football Association, West Coast Region Football Referees Association, Brikama Sports Committee, Brikama Community Radio, Brikama Red Cross Link, Mr Matarr Mboge, head coach The Gambia U17 and all media houses for the brilliant and courageous coverage.
