Bakary
Fatty, leader of the Law Students Association at the University of The Gambia
(UTG), has confirmed to this paper that “classes at the university in all
faculties will resume today.
“Yesterday, the students agreed with the administrator that they can resume their classes. The new grading system will only be applicable to the new students, the 2015 batch-students with matriculation number 215,” he said.
Regarding the 10% increment of the tuition, Bakary Fatty said: “It will be discussed whether it will be dropped or maintained on the 6th of April 2015.”
It would be noted that since Wednesday March 25 students in all faculties at the university stayed away from their classes.
