UDP NAM trial continues today

The criminal trial against Pa Jallow, the United Democratic Party (UDP) National Assembly Member for Jarra Central, in the Lower River Region, is expected to continue today at the Bundung Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Foster.

Jallow is standing trial for allegedly assaulting a police officer, one Isatou Marenah, by slapping her while in the due execution of her duties, a charge Pa Jallow has denied.

According to the charge sheet, on 13 October 2010, at Nusrat Junction, in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused, Pa Jallow, assaulted one Isatou Marenah, a police officer, by slapping her while on her due execution of duties.

Cadet Inspector Kanteh has been representing the IGP in the trial.

Pa Jallow is being represented by lawyer SM Conteh.
