Trio arraigned

Pape Senghore, Lamin Jonga and Dam Cham were recently arraigned before magistrate Secka of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court, charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and stealing.

Meanwhile, the first accused, Pape Senghore pleaded guilty to count one, but denied the other two, while the second and third accused persons pleaded not guilty to all the charges preferred against them.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, the accused persons on 4th April 2010, at City Pub in Dippa-Kunda jointly committed a felony to wit stealing.

Count two states that, the accused persons on the same date and place, jointly stole a mobile phone mark Samsung, valued at D1, 500, being the property of one Salifu Jobe.

The accused persons were granted court bail in the sum of D5, 000 each with a Gambian surety who must each deposit their identity card.

The case was subsequently adjourned to 17th August 2010.
