Gambian league champions Brikama United will rub shoulders with Senegalese league champions US Ouakam in the first leg of the preliminary round of the 2012 CAF African Champions’ League tomorrow, 18 February 2012, at Western Region’s biggest football arena, Box Bar Mini-stadium.

Tomorrow’s game will be the first meeting of both sides in the continent’s biggest club football showpiece - the CAF Champions League.

Brikama United have never featured in the CAF club competition; this is therefore their debut appearance in the continent’s top-tier club football competition.

The Gambian league champions, currently struggling to gain form this season, have so far won one game and drawn four.

They will be hoping for a massive victory against their Senegalese league champions counterparts - US Ouakam.

On the other hand, US Ouakam, who featured in the previous year of the CAF club competition s but failed to perform to expectations, are currently doing extremely well in the Senegal league.

The Senegal leading soccer club are also expecting a resounding victory against Brikama United in the first leg.
